A real person answers, day or night

A Drain Emergency in Homebush? We Answer Day or Night

Shower filling up, or a toilet rising when it should be emptying. Nobody should have to live around that until the office opens on Monday.

Ring (02) 9134 9067 at any hour and a real person answers the phone. Not a call centre, not a message bank, not a callback when someone gets round to it.

We're open 24 hours, and most blockages here get sorted the day you ring. On arrival we'll tell you exactly what's wrong and the best way to fix it, with nothing started until you've heard it.

Toilet backing up by itself? Start at blocked toilets.

Every fixture slow at once points further out, to the sewer line.

Cooler months are when a lot of the Village's older homes get their maintenance done, and drains are the part everyone forgets until they can't.

Is Your Drain Blocked? Check These Signs

Drains rarely block without warning. They tell you first, usually for weeks, and here is what that sounds like.

Recognise any of it? Ring (02) 9134 9067 before it becomes an overflow.

  • A sink that empties slower each week. Something is narrowing the line, and it won't widen again on its own.
  • Gurgling from a fixture you didn't touch. Air is getting pushed back past a partial blockage.
  • A smell around the gully or the laundry. Waste has stopped moving through and started sitting somewhere.
  • Water rising where you didn't run any. Flush the toilet, the shower fills. That is the sewer line, not the fixture.
  • The overflow gully spilling after a downpour. Near the creek lines this reads like a sewer fault but starts as stormwater.
  • Several fixtures slow together. One slow drain is local. Two or three at once is the main line, and that needs a camera.

Why So Many Homebush Homes Choose Us

This is half long-held family houses and half newer apartments, and the two want different things from a plumber. What holds across both is wanting the price and the problem explained before anyone starts.

The Diagnosis Comes First

We look before we quote. You'll hear what has actually gone wrong, what it takes to put right, and what happens if you leave it a fortnight.

The Price Is Settled Up Front

You approve the price before we start. We don't charge by the hour, so a job that fights back still costs what we said it would.

Best Price Guaranteed

Bring us a comparable written quote and we'll match the work and the figure. That promise holds whether it's a slow sink or a collapsed line.

Our simple process

Our Process for Clearing Homebush Drains

Four steps, same order every time. The point is that you never have to take our word for what is down there.

  1. 01

    1. Find the Blockage Before We Touch It

The camera goes in ahead of any gear. You watch the screen with us and see the obstruction, plus the condition of the pipe either side of it.

  2. 02

    2. Clear the Line

High-pressure water jetting scours the walls back to bare pipe. On lines where jetting is the wrong tool, the electric eel takes over.

  3. 03

    3. Fix What Caused It

Roots come out, failed sections get repaired or relined. Clearing a pipe that's about to give way again just books you a second visit.

  4. 04

    4. Test It, Then Tidy Up

We run water through, watch it drain properly, and leave things left clean and tidy. Our labour carries a lifetime warranty, so if it isn't right we come back and make it right.

Local knowledge that matters

Why Homebush Drains Block: Local Knowledge That Matters

This is really two suburbs underground. Homebush Village, the historic 1878 estate south of the railway, sits on drainage laid a very long time before the apartment growth north of the line.

The original earthenware drains under the pre-1940 Village homes are the source of most of our work here. Earthenware cracks at the joints as it ages, and once a joint opens it snags every bit of debris that passes.

Those cracks also let roots in. The established trees along the Village streets find the moisture at a broken joint and work their way in, which is why blockages around Rochester Street and Abbotsford Road come back on a cycle rather than once.

The ground doesn't help. The suburb sits on reactive clay, which swells and shrinks with the seasons and slowly works old rigid pipe joints apart.

Then there is rain. Powells Creek and Saleyards Creek carry the suburb's stormwater, including the canal running through Airey Park, and both surcharge in heavy downpours until the drains feeding them have nowhere to send water.

That is a stormwater problem, and it turns up in the low-lying streets every storm season.

Fair, upfront pricing — no surprises

Fair Pricing for Homebush Drain Work

We won't price a drain we haven't seen. Camera in, cause found, and only then a fixed price before we start.

Three things shift that figure: how far down the trouble sits, how awkward the line is to get at, and whether the pipe has actually broken rather than simply clogged. None of them are a surprise once the camera has been down.

New customers get $65 off their first service. Ask on (02) 9134 9067 when you ring.

Good questions, straight answers

Blocked Drain Questions from Homebush Homeowners

Six things we get asked most, answered the way we'd answer them on the phone.

Can you clear a blocked drain in Homebush on a weekend?

Yes, weekends and public holidays are ordinary working days for us, and someone picks up whatever the hour. A Sunday overflow gets the same camera, the same gear and the same quote you'd have been given midweek.

How quickly can you clear a blocked drain in Homebush?

Most calls are cleared the same day. The Village and the Parramatta Road end both sit on our regular run, so ring in the morning and you'll usually have a plumber at the door before the afternoon is out.

What suburbs do you service around Homebush?

We cover Strathfield, Concord, Burwood, Enfield and Breakfast Point, along with the streets in between. Each has its own page, and the drainage story changes more than you would expect across that short stretch.

How does your pricing work for drain jobs?

We look first, then price. Nothing to pay for the visit, we don't charge by the hour, and the figure is agreed with you before work starts, so a stubborn root mass costs what we quoted and not a cent more.

Why does my drain keep blocking up again?

A repeat blockage usually means the pipe itself is the problem, not what went down it. Under the older Village homes that is often a cracked earthenware joint feeding roots, which is why we put a camera down before clearing.

How do you actually clear a blocked drain?

The camera leads, every time, so the real cause and its exact spot are on screen before any gear moves. Clearing follows, usually by high-pressure water jetting, and then we walk you through whether the pipe needs repair to keep it gone.
